We’re building Fair Market because we’re tired of the current landscape. Writing code is the good part; managing bespoke licensing servers, handling secure asset delivery, and navigating the politics of corporate-controlled repositories isn’t. Fair Market is an independent, API-first platform built by developers, for developers. While our underlying architecture is ecosystem-agnostic, our initial rollout is focused squarely on providing a fairer, robust alternative (or addition) to the standard WordPress plugin repository.

The architecture is designed to let you maintain absolute control over your revenue. You handle the checkout, payments, and renewals on your own infrastructure. When a customer completes a purchase, your system simply pings our API. From there, we take over the heavy lifting: generating and validating licences, and securely serving the downloadable assets to your users. It’s an elegant way to offload the infrastructure you don’t want to maintain, backed by simple, transparent pricing and zero corporate interference.
